Statistics: Russia’s inflation speeds up to 0.2% in Nov 3–Monday
MOSCOW, Nov 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation sped up to 0.2% from November 3 through Monday after staying at 0.1% for four weeks in a row, and reached 3.5% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Sugar prices increased by 2.2% in the reporting week, sunflower oil prices rose by 1.5%, chicken egg prices by 1.1%, margarine prices by 0.6%, prices for bread and bakery goods by 0.5%, for chicken meat, frozen fish, flour, and macaroni goods by 0.4%, for sausages, curd cheese, chocolate sweets, and cookies by 0.3%, and for butter, milk, sour cream, and buckwheat by 0.2%.
Prices for pork went down 0.2%
Fruit and vegetable prices grew by 1.5% on average, with cucumber prices increasing by 8.3%, and tomato prices by 5.6%, while prices for apples decreased by 0.6%, cabbage prices by 0.3%, and carrot prices by 0.2%.
Automobile gasoline prices remained flat, while diesel fuel prices grew 0.3.
